What your New Year’s Eve page does

A night that ends next year
Set the end time past midnight, like 1:00 AM, and the page shows the party running into the new year. The calendar invite gets it right too.
The theme and the dress code
Black and gold, masquerade or pyjamas: put the theme on the page so nobody turns up in the wrong thing.
Getting home
Rideshare, the last train, where to park or whether to stay over: the travel notes sit right under the address.
Replies with plus-ones
Guests say who they’re bringing, so you know how many glasses to fill at midnight.
Days to go on the cover
The cover shows how many days are left until the party, then Tomorrow, then Today on the night.
One link, a QR code, or email
Send the link in a group chat, print its QR code on a card, or email it to the guests on your list. Pick your own address, like thedetails.page/e/maya-grad.

How it works

  1. Set the night

The date, the start time and when it ends (past midnight is fine). Then the place.

  2. Add the theme and the plan

What happens and when: drinks, the music, the countdown. Add the dress code and what to bring.

  3. Send it early

New Year’s Eve is booked up weeks ahead. Share the link and watch the replies come in.

New Year’s Eve invitations: what to include and when to send them

Most people get more than one invitation for New Year’s Eve. A clear one that arrives early wins.

Send it in early December

Four to six weeks before, so early December at the latest. Ask for replies by about December 20, when most people have made their plans.

What to include

The start time, the address, the theme and dress code, whether it goes past midnight, food or no food, what to bring, and how people get home.

Plan the midnight toast

Count one glass of champagne or sparkling wine per guest for the toast; a 750 ml bottle pours about 8. The party drink calculator works out the rest of the night.

Getting home safely

Note when the last trains run, whether there is parking, and if there’s a sofa for anyone who stays. Rideshare prices jump after midnight, so say so.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Making and publishing your New Year’s Eve invitation, the reply form and the guest list are free, with no limit on guests. An optional site pass adds extras such as your own colours, a photo wall for guests and automatic reply reminders, for one payment per site.

When should I send New Year’s Eve party invitations?

Four to six weeks before, in late November or early December. New Year’s Eve plans are made early, and a later invitation often finds people already booked.

What should a New Year’s Eve invitation say?

The date and start time, whether it runs past midnight, the address, the theme or dress code, whether there is food, what to bring and how to get home. Add a reply-by date around December 20.

Can the end time be after midnight?

Yes. Enter it as it is, such as 1:00 AM, and the page shows the party running into the new year. The calendar invite gets it right too.

Do guests need an app or an account?

No. They open the link in any browser, on any phone, and reply in under a minute.

Can I change the details after I send the link?

Yes. Edit the page and publish again; the link stays the same, so everyone sees the latest details. You can also email an update to everyone on your list.
