What your Christmas party page does

Christmas wording, ready
Pick Christmas party and the cover, the plan and the reply section are worded for it. Change any line, and write the plan in your own words.
The gift swap, explained once
Running a white elephant or Secret Santa? Put the price limit and the rules under what to bring, and they show on the page and in the questions.
Replies with plus-ones and allergies
Guests reply through one link with who they’re bringing and any food allergies, so you know how much to cook.
A sign-up list for the buffet
Hosting a potluck Christmas? Start with a list of mains, sides, desserts and drinks, and guests claim one when they reply.
Add to calendar and a countdown
Guests add the event to their calendar in one tap, with the venue’s map link. The cover counts down the days for you.
One link, a QR code, or email
Send the link in a group chat, print its QR code on a card, or email it to the guests on your list. Pick your own address, like thedetails.page/e/maya-grad.

How it works

  1. Name the party and the date

Call it what your friends call it, then add the date, the time and the address.

  2. Add the theme and the swap

Ugly sweaters, a gift swap, a buffet at 8: a line or two on the plan, and a dress code if there is one.

  3. Send it before calendars fill

Share the link in the group chat or send it to each guest. Replies come into one list as they arrive.

What to put on a Christmas party invitation, and when to send it

December weekends fill fast. A Christmas party invitation needs the basics, plus anything that changes what guests wear or bring.

When to send it

Three to four weeks before the party, and earlier for a Saturday in mid-December. Set the reply-by date a week before the day so you can plan the shopping.

What to include

The date, the start and end time, the address, the dress code (say “ugly sweater” if you mean it), whether partners and children are invited, and anything to bring.

If there’s a gift swap

Say which game, the price limit and that gifts should be wrapped. If you’re drawing names, the Secret Santa generator sends each person a private link to their match.

Food and drink

Say whether it’s dinner or nibbles, so nobody eats beforehand or arrives starving. A sign-up list sorts out a potluck buffet.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Making and publishing your Christmas party invitation, the reply form and the guest list are free, with no limit on guests. An optional site pass adds extras such as your own colours, a photo wall for guests and automatic reply reminders, for one payment per site.

How far ahead should I send a Christmas party invitation?

Three to four weeks ahead is usual. For a weekend in mid-December, or a work party, send it in early November so it gets into calendars before the season fills up.

What should a Christmas party invitation say?

Who is hosting, the date, the start and end time, the address, the dress code, whether partners and children are invited, what to bring and the date to reply by. Add the gift swap rules if there is one.

Can I add a Secret Santa or white elephant?

Yes. Write the game and the price limit in the plan or under what to bring. To draw names, use the free Secret Santa generator, which gives each person a private link to their match.

Do guests need an app or an account?

No. They open the link in any browser, on any phone, and reply in under a minute.

Can I change the details after I send the link?

Yes. Edit the page and publish again; the link stays the same, so everyone sees the latest details. You can also email an update to everyone on your list.

Will strangers find it?

No. Event sites are hidden from search engines, so only people you send the link to can open it. You can also add a password.

Ready when you are

A few questions, a minute or two, and your invitation is ready to share.
