The Details

Round robin generator

Make a round robin schedule for pickleball, tennis, table tennis or any game. Set teams or rotating partners, as many courts as you have, fair sit-outs and standings. Free, with no sign-up.

Format

2 games a round, nobody sits out.

Leave it empty for Player 1, Player 2 and so on. Up to 64. Names stay on this device.

Two ways to play

Rotating partners
Doubles where you swap partners every round, the way most pickleball clubs run a social round robin. Bring any number of players from four up; extra players take turns sitting out, and nobody sits twice before everyone has sat once.
Set players or teams
Singles players or fixed doubles teams, each meeting every other once (or twice, swapping sides). Good for a league night, a ladder or the group stage of a tournament.

Questions

How many rounds does a round robin take?

With set players or teams, everyone meets everyone once in one round fewer than the number of entrants (8 teams play 7 rounds). With an odd number, add one round: each round someone sits out. If you have fewer courts than games, a round is split so every game still gets a court.

What is a rotating partners round robin?

It’s the usual pickleball mixer: you play doubles with a new partner each round. The generator pairs people so partners repeat as little as possible, mixes up who you play against, and shares the sit-outs evenly when there are more players than spots on court.

How do I score a pickleball round robin?

Most clubs play one game to 11 (win by 2) or a timed game each round. Type each game’s score under the schedule and the standings rank everyone by games won, then by points won minus points lost. In a rotating partners round robin each player gets their side’s result.

Can I use it for tennis, table tennis, cornhole or volleyball?

Yes. Use set players or teams for any game where the sides stay the same, and rotating partners for any doubles game. Call the “courts” tables, boards or nets.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It’s free and needs no account. The schedule is made in your browser and the names you type are not sent anywhere. Print it, or copy it as text into your group chat.
